DIY: Poison Tea Canister

Currently Listening To: “The Garden” -The Creepshow

I needed a container for all my goddamn green tea (like, there is so much and I keep buying more). Unfortunately there hasn’t been any Halloween tins this year, and that is what I initionally wanted to get for all my tea. But, I had tried this gelato earlier in the week and the container it came in was a pretty decent size (1 pint container). I finished the gelato and cleaned the container. I forgot to take pictures through most of this process, so I don’t have a picture of the original container, but all the print on it was printed directly onto the container, so I didn’t have to deal with wrapping/sticky residue from glue.  So the whole process was easier.

img_2213Items needed:

  • 1 pint container (any container really)
  • Black and white acryllic paint
  • Paper/pencil
  • Exacto knife
  • Paint brushes
  • Font pictures

1.) If there is paper/wrapping on container, take that shit off. Then paint the whole thing black. This may take a few coats to get opaque.

2.) While this is drying, find some pictures of the font you like (if you can free hand, ignore me) and make a stencil by using your computer as a light box. (I typed Gothic font into Pinterest and it gave me many beautiful options) Tape paper to the screen and trace out the letters you need for whatever poison you choose. Cut this out with an exacto knife.

3.) When you have enough layers of black to to cover the container decently, use a cheap shitty glue stick to lightly glue the stencil to the container. Lightly dab glue around the important parts to keep them still. (There may be residue when you remove the stencil, just paint over with more black). Begin filling in the stencil with white paint. I personally did the bare minimum to fill it in, then filled it in the rest of the way and cleaned it up once I removed the stencil.

4.) Once you remove the stencil, clean up edges and add any details (such a swirls) that you couldn’t make with the stencil.

5.) Decorate the rest as you so desire.

6.) Pick your poison (laughing at her own joke) and fill the container with it once it is dry. -Mine being green tea.
This is not even all of it… I couldn’t fit it all. Need to empty another gelato..

And ta-da! You have a super cool and spooky container! I really love how mine came out. I need to empty another one so that I can make a Cyanide one for more of the green tea. There is just so much ;u;

Let me know your thoughts below! Have you ever made something like this? What would you fill your container with? Any other tea addicts? Heh…

I shall see you guys again soon! Bye~

DIY: Back-to-School

Currently Listening To: “The Age of the Young and Hopeless” -Blood on the Dance Floor

So I worked really hard on these supplies and I thought it would make a nice DIY post and inspiration for anyone going to school or generally anyone who uses notebooks and all that. Plus some cute ideas for packaging them if you’re giving them as gifts, like me.
Now, these supplies were for my little sister, so they’re definitely not Gothically inclined at all. But the same general concept can be used for whatever aesthetic you love. ;D

Binder/Notebook Collage ~

IMG_1556 IMG_1557 IMG_1560
Pictures/Sticker/Whatever you want to use for the collage
Base paper
Notebook/Binder with customizable cover (if not, modge podge the pictures directly to the binder/notebook cover)
Hole punch (if notebook has binder holes)

You’re obviously going to need pictures for the collage. You can also use stickers, ribbon, pressed flowers, scraps of paper, etc.. whatever you fancy. I used pictures I found online (sooooo many hours of scrolling through tumblr-esque pictures) and stickers. I put as many pictures as I could on each piece of paper before printing, so as not to waste paper and because it’s fifty cents per color print at my library x.x I didn’t end up using a lot of them, so I have plenty of pictures for my next creative endeavor for my little sister.
Can I just say that cutting all these out was more tedious than I expected? You could create the collage on the computer and print it out all ready to go, but I wanted to do it the hard creative way. So I cut all the pictures out.
Next comes playing around with the position and pattern of pictures. After you have a look you like, glue them all down onto the base paper. I used a colored piece of copy paper for one and sunflower scrapbook paper for the other.
IMG_1559 IMG_1562

I set these under a big stack of sketchbooks and containers to flatten them while they were drying. The paper probably will wrinkle nad bend as you’re gluing these on, so it helps to put pressure on them while drying.

Then I hole punched the one for the notebook, since the notebook had holes for use in a binder.

(Fuck you FiveStar for that damn logo. Don’t make it customizable then put your fucking logo in the way!)
My notebook and binder had costomizable cover slips, so I just had to slip the collage inside. If yours don’t, just take modge podge and use that to attach the pictures to the cover. Then go over the entire cover and pictures with another layer of modge podge to seal in the pictures. c:
IMG_1563 IMG_1564
I also took a leftover from the scrapbook paper and taped it into the inside of the binder for an accent.

I had several notebooks/books that would not fit into the binder, so I stacked them up and made a cute bow around the stack. It’s a simple but cute packaging idea.
IMG_1571(I found these Black Lagoon books in my thrift store! I remember reading these in school :3 She’s not much of a reader, but I think she’ll enjoy these.)

I got her some school clothes. I picked up a laundry basket and used that to position everything all nicely and pretty in :3 I’ve also put some fun beauty products such as perfume and body butter in the basket as well; since she loves smelling nice. It’s just a fun way to give clothes and beauty products as gifts.
Untitled drawing IMG_1569
(My whole color scheme for everything was pink, white, and teal. Turned out pretty well, especially with the binder and notebooks)

Edit~ My sister (I think) loved everything c: We ended up using all the extra photos to collage the back of her binder and another one of her notebooks. Whee! I did well with picking photos because she was rummaging through the photos and had pretty damn well picked all of them in a pile for me to put on a collage for the back of her binder. They obviously all didn’t fit, so she took the rest and collaged her notebook cover. (I still have tons of photos left)
IMG_1573 IMG_1574

Those were some fun gift/diy ideas. I hope they inspire you guys! I totally want to do a collage binder for me sometime (shit, I have more than enough artwork on a pinterest board ><). Let me know if any of you guys have some cool back to school projects ~ whether for yourself or someone else. :3 I shall now be disappearing back into the depths of not posting for another month! xD Bye guys.

New Halloween Skirt!

Currently Listening To: “Date Rape” -Sublime

Guys!!! I feel like such a professional. I have almost completed this skirt and it looks so awesome. There is a lining and even all the raw hems have been hidden away (if the skirt is made for me, I don’t care about raw edges on the inside) but this time I made it so professionally!

One of the Walmart’s around here already have their Halloween and Autumn fabrics out and I am so pleased with the selection this year, there are many I want. But I only picked up two this time. A candy one and a leaf one. I’m making an Autumn faery skirt out of the leaf one I bought. Watch out for that one :3
IMG_1504 IMG_1505IMG_1506

But for this adorable candy fabric, I just made a basic circle skirt. But not that basic, because I actually added a lining. I am so goddamn proud of myself. It was meant to be a tad longer than the skirt so that a little orange peeked out the bottom, but unfortunately I didn’t have enough for that. But either way, I did something new and didn’t fail!

Unfortunately, I don’t have any black fabric for the waistband (thought I still had some somewhere :c), so I’ll need to get some one day. Which will probably be Saturday because I work all week. Poo. :c I have to wait to wear this. Oh well. I’m just happy it has come out so well. 😀
The lining is only attached at the top and encased in the side edges. I left the bottom free so that it would be flowy and make the skirt fuller.

I cannot wait to make so many amazing things out of all this fabric. How are your projects going? Anything spoopy for the season?  Chat to you all again some day. c: Bye!

Catch Up!

Currently Listening To: “Acid” – Ghost Town

Lots of pictures! Woop!

So lately I’ve gotten to fuck around in a park/playground because my little sister was meeting up with old friends on several days. So I played in the park and had fun. :3 The first day my sister and I were rescuing cicadas that got stuck in the puddles on some of the equipment while waiting for her friend.
IMG_1175 IMG_1293 IMG_1177 IMG_1181 IMG_1189 IMG_1196 IMG_1210 IMG_1211 IMG_1223 IMG_1255 IMG_1259 IMG_1276 IMG_1284 IMG_1290

There was also another big community yard sale in another little town, which has quite bad connotations for me, but one of my best friends from school lives there and I saw she had stuff set up and I wanted to rummage through her clothes, because I loved her clothes in school. She had this slight Goth aesthetic that I enjoyed. It took her a moment to recognize me, but then we were all hugs and laughing. We caught up a bit and I found out she’s moving. I need to start talking to her more, gah.
Anyway, my sister found so many movies from her, and I got a few and some clothes :3 Plus some studded belts I’m taking apart for the interesting studs. I also (didn’t realize until I got home) got this cool hoodie from her with built in head phones. I didn’t know there were headphones until I got to putting everything away in my room, I just got it because it was black and grey striped and I can always use more hoodies for Fall. This is great for when I go walking in the woods, I can just plug my music player into my hoodie and go. Hehe :3
IMG_1310 IMG_1317
The bottom three movies are from my friend’s house. The Strangers is from another and the top two are from another. (Also got the super glittery black tank top from a yard sale :3) Hey, I cut my bangs into cute little Lolita type bangs :3

I also got these two books from (my sister thinks she’s a teacher from the school) another house and they’re written very interestingly. The words and paragraphs are scattered across the pages, so you have to jump around to read them. It’s really cool!
I also found the third book in the Inkheart trilogy in my Dollar Tree! I got a thirty dollar book for a buck!
All these books I keep buying are just sitting on my bedroom floor in piles because I don’t have enough space on my shelves xD
IMG_1311 IMG_1312IMG_1163 IMG_1314

I have been super busy with updating my patches on my pants, they all needed a good re-application of paint. I have also been making more and it’s very relaxing and fun. I have a couple patches I finished after this photo, so they’re not shown. New Year’s Day, Blood on the. Dance Floor. I want to make an Andy Black and Black Sabbath one.
I found really cute jeans in the thrift store that I turned into shorts and painted a Ghost Town quote on the pockets. I’m also adding the Ghost Town patch I made to the front of the shorts.
IMG_1308 IMG_1315

Also in the thrift store!!! I found this beautiful lamp! I really needed a new lamp for my desk, because the one my mom loaned me has blown it’s bulbs and it was really big and bulky. So now all I had on my desk is a candelabra and I can’t burn that because the candles touch the shelf above my desk and I’ll burn the fucking house down. SO I was extra excited to find this lamp, not just for how it looks, but also because I need one when working on details at night. And it actually does work 😀
I’m not usually into the more cutesy faeries, but I really liked this one. c:

I’m working dayshift, so I haven’t had the time to sit down and write, blog, vlog, or anything. Once I’m home, I watch a few videos, work on DIY projects, and play outside. Sitting down for long periods of time just hasn’t sounded enticing xD I really do want to post more, I’m just finding it hard to sit and write anything. Fuck.
Anyway, what are you guys up to? Any fun Summer plans or projects?

OOTD and Proper Post!

Currently Listening To: “Secrets of Wysteria” ~ Vocaloid (SteamPianist)

This song is about Albert Fish. It’s super creepy, especially the end ~ it contains words taken from his letter to Gracie’s parents. The broken sounding melody and singing that often doesn’t match the rhythm adds to the chilling sound. I love it, but the story behind it is sad too.

Hi guys! I’m trying! xD So I thought I looked really flipping cute today, so I decided to sit down and actually make a post, instead of my lazy Tumblr OOTD’s I sometimes do.

Everything is thrifted/DIY’ed, except the little skeleton necklace ~ he’s from Walmart at Halloween time.

IMG_1160 IMG_1161 IMG_1162

I have been obsessed with little side-bags lately, after I had found a shoulder bag at a garage sale and turned it into a cool Visual Kei-inspired leg bag.  There is a strap at the top to hook around my waist, and one at the bottom to connect to my thigh. I had the radioactive patch from the bottom of the pair of Tripp pants I turned into shorts, I thought it would look perfect on here and it does.  This one has tons of space and pockets, but because most of the weight is supported by the waist strap, I only put the essentials in the bag

I then found another cute small one at the thrift store yesterday and made it into a little side bag as well. They both look so fucking cool on! I love my tiny one the best though. :3 This one’s straps were detatchable, so if I want to use it for a shoulder bag again, I can. I painted and hand sewed the patch on and added spikes that had fallen off other jewelry, and studs. The top where the pin and studs are is not yet complete, I left that space open for any pins/decorations I may find in the future. I also added my pretty stained glass butterfly/moth pin ^u^ The zipper pull is from a pair of earrings.

I’m a terrible person, both of these say genuine leather. It doesn’t bother me since both of these are second-hand and the money is not actually going to the bad people.

It’s finally feeling like summer! It’s been in the eighties this past week and I have been enjoying it! I just bought a cute black and white stripped bathing suit at Goodwill the other day, and cannot wait to use it (the best part is the top part could be worn as an actual shirt if I wanted!) I am also excited about all the cicadas coming out. These little bugs are so cute and they’re benign to humans. One let me pet it, and it really liked my little sister, because she let it go and it just chilled on her hand for a while before deciding to fly off. :3 I have been seeing so many animals lately, which is one of my favorite parts of Summer.

IMG_1147IMG_1151 IMG_1152

I saw the moth outside of work one day while I was waiting to go home. The frog I found while my dad was cleaning the pool (one also surprised me while I was in the pool, he was so cute). And then a picture of the cicada my dad showed me.  They’re so cute and they make a really pretty sound 😀

I’ve mostly been outside enjoying the sun. But I’m also sick again, it sucks. I’m not dead, I promise, I just haven’t been feeling like sitting down and writing a proper post. I have been writing more with three of my stories. Scarred, the other one that accidentally ended up being in the same history as Scarred, and then a new one I purposely made to sit between the other two. It’s really fun and I cannot wait to start making connections through the three stories. I never imagined having a series-like of stories, but that’s how it has worked out and it’s really cool and exciting. Maybe I’ll share the other two here one day?

Anyway, I’ll see you guys later! Let me know if Summer has hit you guys and how you’re enjoying it!

Mother’s Day Event

Currently Listening To: “Angel” -Anna Blue

Hello!  So the night went decently. It was kind of rough, but I had fun. I had a few repeat customers from last year and many new ones. There were also many cute/funny/memorable things from the night. So I’m just going to get into this (it may be a long post xD)

Unfortunately my phone won’t transfer my photos, so there may not be any photos to show you guys :c
Woop! Transfer of photos happening now! >:D

The event was on Friday, from 5-9 pm.
Firstly, I was not allowed to set u where I had last year because the library was going to be open. I had no problem with that. I totally understand. So I set up on one side of the entrance, out of the way, which is where the librarian had directed me to. As I was setting up, I noticed another booth going up. It was going up right at the entrance, where the librarian had wanted open so people could walk through the library since they were participating in the event this year. I knew what the booth was for and I should have expected it, but it had slipped my mind.

So earlier in the year, a good cop was shot and killed in the community. He was a great guy and I can understand the amount of support. And while I find it kind of strange/odd to make money off dead people, I’m not gonna stop ya’ll from doing what you want to do.

So it was a booth for the dead cop. They were selling the typical things like wristbands, shirt, and the such. But anyway, I was a little irked. But the thing that really got under my skin was that the librarian had come out and saw them setting up and didn’t ask them to move. Their booth blocked the entrance, right where she wanted the library open.  So, they got to stay under the shaded, roof of the library while I burst into flames in the sun. I shit you not, my entire chest, shoulders, and lips are bright red and burned. I completely forgot sun block. >.<

It was slow for the first couple hours, but at around 7:30 it started picking up. I did pretty well. c: I made just a smidge less than last year, but I am super happy. 😀 I sold a lot of chokers and some bows and owl neckalces. One of my food-with-faces charms sold. Unfortunately none of the shirts/akirts sold, although several people liked them 😀 Woop!

So, some of my favorite customers/people that night. There were many :3

One was a younger girl nd her mother who had come through earlier in the night. I had turned to talk to them and the little girl’s eyes go wide and she starts asking about how I did that! She was talking about my lack of eyebrows (a hot topic it seems that night xD). Her mom then tells her no, you are not doing that, no ~ as they were walking away. I was just giggling the whole time. That little girl will grow up and shave her brows off! xD

Another one was a teenage/older girl who had passed by once when I was unable to try and draw her over. SHe was wearing a Soul Eater shirt and in my mind I’m like ~ You! You need to come to this booth. Becasue I had like 3-4 chokers inspired by that anime. Unfortunately, I was busy with another person and was unable to attract her over. Although I gave glances her way. xD
A little while later, she comes back through when everything is dead. I tell her I love her shirt and she says the same about the necklace I was wearing (Soul Eater moon). She starts looking through everything and says it’s a really hard decision. She begins telling me about how it was like when her and her friends went to a convention and all the booths and indecision. I totally understand the pain of indecision. She walks back and forth for a few minutes studying everything and decides upon a little candy charm with a screaming face(as if it were about to be eaten). She was really adorable and it makes me happy to see when people love my creations and cannot decide.

One of my most favorite people to come up to my booth was another teenage/older girl. She told me she loved my style and everything. She was asking me about if I had an online store and if I lived in town. She got so happy when she saw the altered band shirts. I’m not sure if she knew all of them or not, but she told me she really loved Asking Alexandria and that she wished she had brought more money.
I genuinely thought of letting her have one of the band shirts, because it was the end of the night and all they’re going to do is sit in my closet until next year, or until I get the online store set up. But she left and we both wished one another to have a nice night.

Two different adult ladies were really cool to talk to and everything. One really enjoyed Steampunk and was asking me about whether I did other Steampunk things and I showed her the jacket I had altered and told her about other endeavors I had done involving Steampunk.

The other lady that coem up was really excited about all my Victorian bows. She said it was a tough decision for her. She also noticed the binder I had setting on the table and asked if I had drawn the faery on the cover and I told her yes. She said it was really good. I told her I had some of my artwork inside if she was interested in looking through it. She  had gotten into a conversation with someone and probably didn’t hear me. But she bought a few of the bows and I just enjoyed her personality.

One of the repeat costumers I had was a teenage girl with a backpack that had bought an owl necklace last year. This year she got one of the Soul Eater inspired chokers. The thing I remember about her is her overall energy and the backpack, but also that both times she split the bill with her mother. I don’t know why this is very cute in my mind, but just something about her energy and the way she speaks is very memorable.

There was this duo of elder ladies who were very intrigued by my make-up. I had done my very favorite graveyard make-up and they wanted to know how I did it. It was very cute :3

Not only were my lack of eyebrows a hot topic, so was everyone questioning if my make-up was tattooed on. It was adorable. I’m too easily bored with make-up and too creative to permently tattoo one look onto my eyes.

The last one I want to share, is also one of my most favorite people to have come up to my booth. It was a mother and her daughter. They both liked my stuff. The mother reads my poster board Made With Faery Kisses and says we (her and her daughter) love faeries. I tell her back that I absolutely love them too. She says that’s cool, you look like one. c:

I am so flattered! \*O*/Best compliment you could ever give me. I was beaming. That is what I strive to look like everyday of my life. She totally made my night. ^u^

Those were some of the best memories of the night. I cannot wait for next year. :3 Hehe. I had fun and the people were great.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone. Hope you did wonderful things for your mothers and are good to them. Have a wonder day guys. Bye!
