Exciting news! My online store is now open! For anyone who was interested in my designs, I now have the store set-up and ready to go.

For now it’s mostly just the jewelry end, but eventually I’ll get the bows and clothing up. In the future I may also list old clothes. But yeah, there ya go :3 I hope you guys like it, and thank you for your support. c:

Mother’s Day Event

Currently Listening To: “Angel” -Anna Blue

Hello!  So the night went decently. It was kind of rough, but I had fun. I had a few repeat customers from last year and many new ones. There were also many cute/funny/memorable things from the night. So I’m just going to get into this (it may be a long post xD)

Unfortunately my phone won’t transfer my photos, so there may not be any photos to show you guys :c
Woop! Transfer of photos happening now! >:D

The event was on Friday, from 5-9 pm.
Firstly, I was not allowed to set u where I had last year because the library was going to be open. I had no problem with that. I totally understand. So I set up on one side of the entrance, out of the way, which is where the librarian had directed me to. As I was setting up, I noticed another booth going up. It was going up right at the entrance, where the librarian had wanted open so people could walk through the library since they were participating in the event this year. I knew what the booth was for and I should have expected it, but it had slipped my mind.

So earlier in the year, a good cop was shot and killed in the community. He was a great guy and I can understand the amount of support. And while I find it kind of strange/odd to make money off dead people, I’m not gonna stop ya’ll from doing what you want to do.

So it was a booth for the dead cop. They were selling the typical things like wristbands, shirt, and the such. But anyway, I was a little irked. But the thing that really got under my skin was that the librarian had come out and saw them setting up and didn’t ask them to move. Their booth blocked the entrance, right where she wanted the library open.  So, they got to stay under the shaded, roof of the library while I burst into flames in the sun. I shit you not, my entire chest, shoulders, and lips are bright red and burned. I completely forgot sun block. >.<

It was slow for the first couple hours, but at around 7:30 it started picking up. I did pretty well. c: I made just a smidge less than last year, but I am super happy. 😀 I sold a lot of chokers and some bows and owl neckalces. One of my food-with-faces charms sold. Unfortunately none of the shirts/akirts sold, although several people liked them 😀 Woop!

So, some of my favorite customers/people that night. There were many :3

One was a younger girl nd her mother who had come through earlier in the night. I had turned to talk to them and the little girl’s eyes go wide and she starts asking about how I did that! She was talking about my lack of eyebrows (a hot topic it seems that night xD). Her mom then tells her no, you are not doing that, no ~ as they were walking away. I was just giggling the whole time. That little girl will grow up and shave her brows off! xD

Another one was a teenage/older girl who had passed by once when I was unable to try and draw her over. SHe was wearing a Soul Eater shirt and in my mind I’m like ~ You! You need to come to this booth. Becasue I had like 3-4 chokers inspired by that anime. Unfortunately, I was busy with another person and was unable to attract her over. Although I gave glances her way. xD
A little while later, she comes back through when everything is dead. I tell her I love her shirt and she says the same about the necklace I was wearing (Soul Eater moon). She starts looking through everything and says it’s a really hard decision. She begins telling me about how it was like when her and her friends went to a convention and all the booths and indecision. I totally understand the pain of indecision. She walks back and forth for a few minutes studying everything and decides upon a little candy charm with a screaming face(as if it were about to be eaten). She was really adorable and it makes me happy to see when people love my creations and cannot decide.

One of my most favorite people to come up to my booth was another teenage/older girl. She told me she loved my style and everything. She was asking me about if I had an online store and if I lived in town. She got so happy when she saw the altered band shirts. I’m not sure if she knew all of them or not, but she told me she really loved Asking Alexandria and that she wished she had brought more money.
I genuinely thought of letting her have one of the band shirts, because it was the end of the night and all they’re going to do is sit in my closet until next year, or until I get the online store set up. But she left and we both wished one another to have a nice night.

Two different adult ladies were really cool to talk to and everything. One really enjoyed Steampunk and was asking me about whether I did other Steampunk things and I showed her the jacket I had altered and told her about other endeavors I had done involving Steampunk.

The other lady that coem up was really excited about all my Victorian bows. She said it was a tough decision for her. She also noticed the binder I had setting on the table and asked if I had drawn the faery on the cover and I told her yes. She said it was really good. I told her I had some of my artwork inside if she was interested in looking through it. She  had gotten into a conversation with someone and probably didn’t hear me. But she bought a few of the bows and I just enjoyed her personality.

One of the repeat costumers I had was a teenage girl with a backpack that had bought an owl necklace last year. This year she got one of the Soul Eater inspired chokers. The thing I remember about her is her overall energy and the backpack, but also that both times she split the bill with her mother. I don’t know why this is very cute in my mind, but just something about her energy and the way she speaks is very memorable.

There was this duo of elder ladies who were very intrigued by my make-up. I had done my very favorite graveyard make-up and they wanted to know how I did it. It was very cute :3

Not only were my lack of eyebrows a hot topic, so was everyone questioning if my make-up was tattooed on. It was adorable. I’m too easily bored with make-up and too creative to permently tattoo one look onto my eyes.

The last one I want to share, is also one of my most favorite people to have come up to my booth. It was a mother and her daughter. They both liked my stuff. The mother reads my poster board Made With Faery Kisses and says we (her and her daughter) love faeries. I tell her back that I absolutely love them too. She says that’s cool, you look like one. c:

I am so flattered! \*O*/Best compliment you could ever give me. I was beaming. That is what I strive to look like everyday of my life. She totally made my night. ^u^

Those were some of the best memories of the night. I cannot wait for next year. :3 Hehe. I had fun and the people were great.

Happy Mother’s Day everyone. Hope you did wonderful things for your mothers and are good to them. Have a wonder day guys. Bye!

I’ve been making a lot of chokers lately and having so much fun with this new ribbed ribbon I found. So I thought I’d show you guys what’s been going on.

I have a few for my sale boxes::

The spider one is not done yet. The cross one was thought up because I found this scrap of lace that looked like a collar. I sewed the lace to the ribbed ribbon and then added the coffin earring in the middle. It looks really cool on. I just found a tiny velvet bow and I may add that to the middle as well.

As for my own chokers:::

Haha, yes they are really decked out, and mostly made of scraps I had leftover of lace trim. The top one is the most recent. I found this stripey ribbon when I bought the ribbed ribbon and decided to get it. I love how it looks with the frilly ribbon and the straight lace. Because I really don’t like simple chokers, I added the other coffin earring to the middle~ I love it.

The middle one was the first choker that started all this xD I had found this ribbed ribbon tied onto the packaging of some earrings (which made me go out and buy some for more chokers) and thought it would look nice on a choker. So I sewed it to some straight lace and added a charm I made. The charm is made from a little clay plate-like base. I painted stripes onto it and added a glitter bat sticker. It came out beautifully. This one is competing with my dragonfly choker for my most favorite xD

The last one is super fancy. Ironically, the first time I wore this was with a t-shirt and jeans xD But anyway, I sewed the ribbed ribbon onto the frilly ribbon. I had found this scrap of softer lace that was a little bit longer than my neck, so I bunched it up and sewed it behind the frilly ribbon. I already knew I wanted to use that moon/bat earring on the choker, so I put that on it. I absolutely love the elegance of this one. It makes me feel super fancy!

As for the process. I usually get ideas from looking at all the supplies I have lying around. I start by laying out the items I think I want to use in the choker.

I put it together on my desk before I sew or do anything, to make sure I’ll like the finished product. If I’m happy with it, I’ll start sewing it.

So that’s about it. I used to look on Pinterest for choker ideas, but all of them are either super bland or aren’t something I can really do. I have resolved to just stare into my supply drawer for an hour xD More ideas happen that way. Also, my craft store is having a huge ribbon/trim sale, so I’m going to go stock up on stuff while I can! >:D

Because I’ve been doing so much lately (and because I’m getting more trims and ribbon tomorrow ^^”) I thought of doing a fun little giveaway maybe of one or two of my chokers. I don’t know. If anyone is interested, leave your thoughts below! It would either be almost entirely customizable, or a pick of pre-made ones. But more likely custom, because I’d rather the choker fit to you guys’ necks than just make it adjustable. But who knows.

I have been so inspired lately and even I cannot wear all these myself! Haha. let me know your thoughts below! Which of these is your favorite so far?

I shall post again sometime xD Bye guys!

Bows ~ How It Went c:

Currently Listening To: “Candy Candy” -Gumi

Hey guys. c: I had fun selling my bows at the Mother/Daughter event.  Y’all would be so proud of me! I actually spoke to people and initiated conversations! At the beginning of the night I was kind of shy still, but by the end of the night I was saying hi to people and asking how their night was going. I can’t believe it. ^o^

I was going to take a picture of my set-up, but totally forgot. My sister was sneakily taking photos of me apparently. :p

IMG_3226 IMG_3227

I had all the stuff in the last post, plus I decided to make a few necklaces with foods with faces. So cute. c: I also forgot to take a picture of those, but I do have one left….

The Popsicle, Doughnut, and Bubblegum blowpop are gone.  I might just have to wear this one around. ^u^ Haha.

I also sold a lot of bows and owl necklaces. None of my super fancy chokers or the charm bracelets sold ~ but I don’t mind.

I had so much fun seeing a lot of the people’s faces and kids’ faces. A lot of them got so excited to see them and everything. I just really enjoyed it. c: I’m so glad people actually loved them ~ it makes me happy.

And, I know I was being a little bitchy in the last post, because of the extra fabric piled onto what I needed to sew in a week. But the one fabric my mom gave me was some patriotic stuff and all the bows I made of it sold out. I am grateful for the fabric, I was just stressed. ><

In total I made $86.50.  I kept track all night.

That is way more than I anticipated. I was able to pay back my dad (petticoat… was going to use my state tax refund, but it still hasn’t come!), give my sister some money for new pants, and put some back into my account.  I’m glad I was able to do that. c:

I had a fun night and I really want to do more of this stuff again. I’m still thinking about selling online, but I’m not so sure yet ~ that kind of scares me.

Anyway, leave a comment below, say hi, or let’s dance down there!

Haha, bye guys!

Bows and Updates

Currently Listening To: “Circus For A Psycho” -Skillet

I am officially selling my bows May 8th. I am in rush mode right now and that’s not good….

I just got more fabric piled on top of the stuff I actually want to do. So, I have to make the bows I want to make, and then use the fabric my mom is telling me to use because “you have to make bows little girls will like”.

Well maybe little girls like Satan.

I am a little bitchy. Sorry.

I have to hand sew everything; fabric, lace, details….. I have a big bucket full of cut out fabric for bows that I want to get through. I have a little bit of everything in it – what I actually want to do, and what my mom is telling me to do. If I can at least get everything in the bucket sewn, I should be good.

At least May 4th is my last day of school, so I won’t have to try to do schoolwork, make bows, and go to work ~ while still getting enough sleep. I have to work this week, and I’ve been told there may be 24 tables out there this week. *drops dead* You guys may not be seeing me this week at all.

I’m taking a little break (alternating between working on bows and typing)  and decided to show you guys what’s up.

Goddamn my sister and I eat a lot of ramen…

From the popsicle box up is full of bows. I’ve just been using empty ramen boxes to hold them for now, since we have an abundance of them.

Inside the boxes…

I also may make more skirt pins if I have time::

I also am working on some more clay pieces for the middle of some Lolita bows::

I have decided to sell the two charm bracelets I made for a set of twins (been collecting dust in my bedroom for over a year) for their birthday. But they seem to not want to really get in touch, so I’ve given up trying to get in touch and give them to them.

I know this is rushed, but I just wanted to get this out in between getting bows done ~ Just to let y’all know where I’ll be at for the next week.

That’s all. Leave a comment below, say hi, or something! 😀

Bye guys!
