Annual Costume Challenge Number 4!!

Currently Listening To: “Perfect Skin” – The 69 Eyes

It’s been ages since I’ve posted here and I’m sorry about that. ^.^” I really don’t know if this is the beginning of posting again, but I want to try. I miss my friends I’ve made here. And I have much to tell.

Officially announcing the beginning of my 4th annual costume challenge! 😀

This where you suggest costumes for me to create using only the items I already own. Whether I get many suggestions or not, I have some costumes already in mind to try to recreate (not this time xD) I will also be taking this to Instagram, so feel free to head over there as well.

Some of my favorites from past years….

  • This will not include my own personal costume for the year; that costume will be posted separately nearer Halloween/on Halloween.
  • This will not include items/clothing I happen to pick up/purchase during the months of September-October.
  • I will begin recreating costumes anytime in September and go through October or until I am out of requests/my own inspirations.
  • I will accept requests throughout the entirety of September.
  • Costume includes; clothes, make-up, and props if there is any needed/I have.

Costume requests so far (will update as requests are made):

  • Horned Goddess
  • Gothic Raggedy Anne
  • Chibi – The Birthday Massacre
  • Emilie Autumn

Aaaand that’s it! I will be pinning this post to the front and can’t wait for this year. Have fun guys.

Forest Fey Costume

Currently Listening To: “Malfunction” -Steam Powered Giraffe

This is not my actualy Halloween costume, but I wanted to do a photoshoot out in my woods while it was still nice out and all the leaves were on the ground. Unfortunately, the creek was dried up, so I didn’t get to do anything fun with that ~ aside from sitting in the middle of it. I had so much fun with this one! I was walking around the forest barefoot and hopping across trees and stumps; I felt so at home. A couple of the pictures have me in sandals because I forgot to take them off for the first few moments when we started. (For my own safety, I wore them down into the woods, then kicked them off later). A car went down the road as we were doing this xD it was hilarious. We were very much visable, being this near to the road. xD
I’ll probably upload some of the bloops to Tumblr.
I really love how I put this together. It combines faery, nature, strega, and mori fashion and it looks so flipping cool 😀 It’s something I’d wear any normal day, but I added more to it that I probably wouldn’t normally wear out. (make-up, obnoxious flower crown…)

Anyway, here we go!

Thrift: Hood, Shrug, Top

DIY: Flower crown, Choker

Rope belt from an old costume. Stone necklace won from a story contest.

I shall have my Halloween costume up soon. It is currently hanging up in my bathroom air drying. I did such a cool job with ombre-ing the fabric with dye. Sooo cool! Can’t wait to show you guys! I have pretty much completely made my costume from scratch (a 2xl pair of pants from the thrift store) and am so proud of it.
Let me know your thoughts below! I am so ready for Halloween! 😀

Bye guys!

Costume Challenge; Powerpuff Girls’ Bubbles

img_2065So, my little sister suggested this. *facepalm* I assume she was up late watching Powerpuff Girls and thought it was a brilliant idea. I don’t hate it, I just hate how the costume came out :p  Anyway, onto the post!

img_2085 img_2061 img_2056 img_2052

I had two choices for the dress; this prom dress or a Trans-Siberian Orchestra shirt dress that has blue artwork. I obviously decided to go with this prom dress.  For the black band I wore my corset belt backwards. The tights are white fishnets paired with my pale-ass legs xD Then just some doll shoes c: I don’t like how this came out, but it’s okay.

Thrift: Dress, tights, shoes.

So that’s is for my Bubbles costume. Let me know your thoughts down below. I shall be scheduling posts now so that I can try to get one up everyday this week. I shall post again soon! Bye guys c:

Costume Challenge: Ronnie Radke; Falling in Reverse “The Drug in Me is You”

Is it bad that I think I look hot in this costume? xD Haha. Maybe if my make-up was well done…  I also could not keep a straight face through this whole thing. Kept losing my belt as well.

I had wanted to do this costume a couple years ago when I had the perfect stripped tank top for it, but it never happened. While I was looking in my closet one day, I saw my stripped t-shirt and got the idea again. Haha. I had fun fucking around in this ~ therefore a lot of bloops…

At the time, I had no layers (a week later, I end up giving myself choppy layers again…) so the hair did not cooperate with me. The make-up was harder than I thought. I didn’t want eyeliner all over my eyelid, so I used pencil, liquid, and eyeshadow to keep it in place. Also, ended up beign a little too generous with the eyebrows… looks like sloppy “instagram girl”, “bitch” eyebrows xD

Thrift: T-shirt, boots, studded and eyelet belt, chain, vest.

Spencer’s: Ouija belt, handcuffs.

Really fun and easy one. I shall return soon with the other request; feel free to add anymore below or on the official post.  I will try to get a few DIY’s I have done up as well. c: Stay tuned for that! Bye guys!

Soul Eater; Maka Albarn Costume

“Resonance” -T.M.Revolution

Soul Eater is my favorite anime, and Maka and Soul are my favorite meister/weapon pair. Haha. So this is more of an inspired look than a costume, as I have been wearing this look throughout the year. But make of it what you will.

I have two variations here, one is what I’ve been wearing and the other is a more proper representation. The vest is what I wear usually, and the hoodie is a better fit for the costume. I am wearing suspenders to keep my skirt up, disregard those (although they have skulls for clasps, sooo I mean Death..)

img_1922 img_1929 img_1935 img_1937 img_1955 img_1958 img_1959 img_1961

Thrift: Vest, Boots, Skirt

DIY: Soul Eater moon neckalce

So that is that costume. Haha. I really love when I wear this and it’s quite fun to play pretend. (Had a lot of fun with this photoshoot, minus almost poking my sister’s eye out with my Soul…) Let me know what you think below. c: I already have the next costume done and ready to go. So hopefully that will be up on time.

See you guys later!

Costume Challenge: The Hellfreaks’ Shakey Sue “Boogie Man” Costume

I did all this the first week of September, was going to post it last week, then I told myself I had to post it this Wednesday, but here we are…. *sigh* Anyway, this will probably be my most successful costume out of the challenge, as I have most of everything. This was suggested by my friend, the same one who suggested Steampunk Harley Quinn last year, after I posted pictures of a recent pair of pants full of Psychobilly and Horrorpop patches I painted onto them.

Contrary to popular opinion, I actually enjoy the rough vocals of this song. The Hellfreaks are a Hungarian band, beginning as a Psychobilly Horrorpop Punk band in 2009. At the end of 2014 they split up. In 2015 they came back, with a new punk rock sound, leaving behind Psychobilly.  (The Hellfreaks official website)
Current members include; Shakey Sue, Vocals; Korben Dallas and Tomi Banhegyi, Guitars; Adam Szumper, Drums.

I am doing Shakey Sue’s costume from the “Boogie Man” music video. A make-up post will come soon.

img_1824 img_1842 img_1840 img_1827 img_1873 img_1878 img_1881 img_1880

For everyone’s sanity, I put on some boyshorts/hotpants thing underneath the tutu. No one needs to see my bare ass.

Anyway….

Corset and shoes- Thrifted

Thigh-highs- walmart

Tutu- DIY

Gloves- Gift

The only thing I lacked was a fascinator.

I had my bangs pinned and hairsprayed into place, but the damn things aren’t long enough for this fringe style; they kept falling out of place and I had to tuck them back where they belonged. Of course my lovely photographer never stops taking phtots, so I have many pictures of me tucking bangs. But otherwise, this costume came out beautifully! I doubt any others will come out this damn-near perfect.

So that is that costume. I will try my hardest to get these thigs up in a more timely manner. For now, enjoy this! Haha. Let me know how you think I did below. If you have any suggestions for my challenge, feel free to leave them below. Next costume will be one of my own (it’s actually more of an inspired costume than an actual one, I’ve been wearing it through the year xD) Hope your season is off to a great start.

Harley Quinn Inspired Make-up

Currently Listening To: Halloween Playlist

Was listening to Jeffree Star whilest putting on the make-up. Getting into the moment ;p

Anyway, this one was fun, especially the eyeshadow part (I like how I look with shadow up to my eyebrows….) Guess who also found red eyeshadow? Haha, I still would like to get my hands on some Sugarpill red shadow (Asylum preferably), but this shall hold me over for now.

IMG_4076 IMG_4075

IMG_4086Items Needed/Used::

  • Primer (Hard Candy)
  • Setting Spray (Hard Candy)
  • Red Eyeshadow (Wet N Wild “Hemporary Solutions” Palette)
  • Black Eyeshadow (Wet n Wild “Panther” + Sugarpill “Bulletproof)
  • Black Eyeliner (Rimmel London liquid + Wet N Wild Coloricon pencil)
  • Mascara (Wet N Wild Mega Protein + Miss Manga Punk)
  • Red or Black Lipstick (I used a cheapy black one)
  • Brushes (duh..)

  1. Primer. ^-^
  2. Use red eyeshadow on one eye, blended all the way up to the eyebrow (this eyeshadow blends super smoothly). Use same red eyeshadow to draw half a diamond shape under the opposite eye. ~I fucked this up bad. My half diamond came out a little wonky.
  3. Use black eyeshadow on other eye, and blend up to eyebrow. Use shadow on the bottom of the opposite eye like eyeliner.
  4. Because I am very terrible at drawing things on my face with shadow, I used liquid eyeliner to draw two black diamonds under the eye that doesn’t have the half diamond.  More could be added, but I was already having difficulty with drawing two ~ I knew I’d fuck it up if I tried to do any more xD
  5. I used a black pencil liner on my waterline of the same eye as the black diamonds.
  6. Mascara! I used my Mega protein one then the Miss Manga Punk, so that my eyelashes would look a bit pointed and diamond shaped. It didn’t really work out, but whatever.
  7. I really couldn’t decide which color lipstick to do with this or even a combination of both. I ended up using black. But it could really go any way.

Use setting spray if you want, and you’re done! I like how the eyeshadow looks up to my brow, I need to do this more often xD What do you guys think?

Last costume/make-up is my broken doll. Then I shall be done. c: This has been fun! I hope you guys have enjoyed this whole thing ^.^ Let me know which has been your favorite (including doll once it’s up). I shall have another post soon, bye!!
